A manually operated external awning blind for a roof window will effectively help you protect yourself from the heat of the sun in the attic. Its operation is simple: a fiberglass mesh stretched over the window absorbs and reflects heat radiation before it reaches the glass. The glass does not heat up, which results in a more pleasant temperature in the attic.

Additionally, the structure of the mesh partially transmits light, which allows for free work or relaxation without darkening the room. The awning mesh is available in black.

Important: the awning blind does not have blackout properties - it protects against strong light rays by dispersing them.

Installing the MIA awning blind on an Rooflite+ roof window:

Find the size:

To choose the right size, check the size of your Rooflite+ roof window. Open the Rooflite+ window. On the left side (less often on the right) of the window sash you will find the nameplate. See the drawing below:

In the above case, the window size is C2A (55 x 78). And this is what you should choose so that the blind fits. You don't have to measure the window, although for your convenience, you will find a table below with the dimensions of the visible part of the glass:
