External awning blind for Timlux roof windows – Description
This manually operated external awning blind for Timlux roof windows provides the most effective protection against oppressive summer heat in the attic, stopping solar radiation before it ever hits the glass.
Manufactured by the same company that produces Timlux roof windows (Altaterra – part of the VELUX group), this genuine factory awning guarantees an exact fit, long-lasting durability, and effortless installation from inside the room.
Engineered with a weather-resistant, PVC-coated fiberglass mesh, the awning absorbs and reflects up to 75% of solar heat outside. The glass pane stays significantly cooler, which can lower room temperature by up to 6-7°C. While effectively diffusing blinding sun glare and creating a pleasant diffused semi-darkness, the translucent mesh still allows pleasant daylight in and preserves outward visibility.
To achieve complete darkness for restful sleep or daytime naps, consider combining this external awning with internal blackout blind for Timlux windows.
Why choose this external awning blind for Timlux?
Never measure the glass — blinds are chosen strictly by the Timlux window’s data plate code.
